-
At the top is the Report Summary of the content. From this snapshot, you get the big picture about the property; how many associated construction and contractor records have been found, and the age of the information.
-
The Property Description block includes any owner, renter and manager information that has been found. Some of the terms found here may seem foreign to you, but we include a link to our comprehensive Glossary of Terms for your reference.
-
The Report Details tab lists any permits found, as well as contractor meta data including how long a particular contractor has been working in the area. Different permit types are indicated with a unique icon and different backgrounds, making it easy to find at a glance.
-
The BuildFax® Contractor History Check gives the names of each contractor who has worked on this property. We include their contact information, and if the building department tracks their licenses, we list those, too.
-
When building inspection information has been found, the Buildfax® Inspection History Check will explain how a status of "incomplete" differs from a status of "Needs Correction," and why neither one is necessarily cause for alarm.
-
The Now What? tab puts the report information in context with a variety of scenarios. Each is clickable, taking you to a full explanation on the printable Now What page. If you're reviewing your Property History Report for the first time, this section is invaluable to helping you understand its content.

We wrap up with Tools to help you make the most of your report, including links to helpful articles and websites where you can learn more about the importance of building code compliance for the safety of your family.
